Heyy everyone sorry for the lack of updates! The really long string of bad weather meant that I was kept grounded indefinately. However I have my area solo checkride on Thursday morning at 9.30...so excited to fly again!

For those of you that missed it....aerospace engineers have recreated a prototype stealth fighter originally designed by the Nazis during world war 2. The Horten 2-29, a retro-futuristic fighter arrived too late in World War II to make it into mass production. The engineers' goal was to determine whether the so-called stealth fighter was truly radar resistant. In the process, they've uncovered new clues to just how close Nazi engineers were to unleashing a jet that some say could have changed the course of the war.

It's amazing when you look at the design in that it looks so similar to a modern stealth fighter jet. The German designers were so far ahead of their time and apparently because the jet engine was so fast, they calculated that the response time needed to defend against a squadron of these German jets (say if you were in Britain) would be 2 minutes. Thats almost nothing. Scary?

Le Figaro reported that an Air France plane flying from Rome to Paris this month flew for one minute without airspeed information. This plane is equipped with new pitot tubes installed after the June crash of Flight 447.
